Standard Flush Track with Transverse Drains
The Weiland standard flush track was tested as part of a five panel pocketing, 16' tall liftslide system and certified under AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/1.S.2/A440 testing protocol for operating force, air leakage resistance, water penetration resistance, uniform load deflection, uniform load structural, and forced entry resistance.

Patent #'s US 6,792,651 and US 7,007,343
Like the test mentioned, Weiland also tested a 10' - 8" tall four panel pocketing liftslide system that met current Miami-Dade County hurricane requirements using Weiland's patented full drainage track and received the Miami-Dade Notice Of Acceptance.
The flooring used in both test systems was a smooth surface at exactly 3/16" below the top of the track, extending into the pockets.
Flush Tracks Enhance Indoor/Outdoor Living
The ability to create expansive sliding door openings with performance rated flush tracks require that certain flooring tolerances be met. To accomplish this we designed our flush drainage tracks with a built-in marker to make sure the smooth surfaced finished floor (including grout lines and flooring in pockets) is installed at exactly 3/16" below the top and along the entire length of the track.
Weiland has developed two tested flush track systems, including the patented full drainage track shown below. To achieve these results and enjoy a performance rated flush track, it is critical the finished floor is installed properly. If you are not sure what kind of floor you’ll be using, special consideration should be given to the full drainage track that was tested to hurricane standards.
THE WEILAND FLUSH TRACK
• Two flush bottom track options project only 3/16" above the finished floor creating a beautiful, almost seamless transition from inside to outside.
• Weiland's standard and patented drainage flush track systems have both been tested and meet AAMA performance standards.
• The flush tracks on multi-panel units are staggered, avoiding the wide or bulky railroad track look of most other systems.
• Weiland's hardened, anodized aluminum track has been successfully time tested for over 20 years in coastal and harsh weather environments.
• The flush track has no high obstacles or sill to trip over. A transverse drain feature is standard with a patented full drainage track option available to help accommodate variations in flooring materials to further enhance the door system's weather resistance.
• Although corrosion resistant, stainless steel caps used by others are typically very thin and soft and extremely prone to denting or other damage. As a result, larger doors may become more difficult to operate over time. In fact, a stainless steel cap may actually contribute to galvanic corrosion depending on what metal it is in contact with.
• A surface mounted track is available for certain configurations or when the bottom track cannot be recessed (some remodels).
• Our patented track has been specially designed and pre-assembled for easier installation. A built-in marker on the Weiland track assists in accurately installing the finished floor at only 3/16" below the top of the track.
